Around Our House

Tessa wanted to do a picture by baby Tessa like Rockwell did. 3 years difference here.
We went to Katie's house for a recipe swap.
The kids had fun playing together. Tessa told Paul that Eva is her best friend. :)
Rockwell made a fun game of Treasure Hunt. He hid a bunch of stuffed animals, and then he and Paul would draw a map of where to go to find one.
Tessa is officially potty trained! The first day was pretty rough, but she hasn't had any accidents since that first day. She's even doing great at night. I'm very pleased with how well she did. She was excited to watch a Paw Patrol episode every time she went potty in the toilet.
We love when Damon makes this face. :)
Rockwell passed off all his Rainbow Words (sight words) at school last week. He was so excited to accomplish that, and to get his reward.
He's really not loving the set of Sam Books he's on now. He says they're boring. I realized the other day that it hasn't clicked with him that he can use what he's learned to read other books. He said something along the lines of only being able to read Sam Books. So I pulled out Green Eggs and Ham, and he was so excited that he could read the whole book by himself. He's loved reading his Elephant and Piggie books by himself too.
Damon gets so excited when Paul gets home from work. He grips his shirt and cuddles with him, smiling with contentment. You can literally see the stresses of Paul's day wash away from his face and shoulders within about 2 minutes of cuddling with his baby.
We're in that stage where Spring keeps teasing us, but Winter won't quite relinquish. We try to play outside whenever Spring seems to be winning the fight.
Rockwell enjoyed building the monster truck he got for his birthday.
Damon put on quite the show crawling around with his table on his back like a turtle shell.
 Super cute picture!
Rockwell and Tessa were excited to make green pancakes on St. Patrick's Day. They were not excited to eat them, however.
They had fun doing a tea party. I guess Rockwell felt a little more manly at the tea party with a pirate hat on. :)
Tessa even got Dad to have a tea party with her too. Isn't he the best dad?!
Paul got me tickets to Brian Regan for Christmas. His show was on Saturday, so we had a fun date going to dinner and the show with Daniel and Mallory. What a fun idea for a date! Laughing all night. It was great!
Damon is getting to be pretty good at walking with help. He walked around the kitchen pretty quickly just using the cupboards for support.
 My cute helper.

Provo River Parkway

The kids and I joined Al & Keith on the Provo River Parkway on Saturday. We absolutely loved it! It's right by Al's house, but it feels like you're in the canyons. We rode bikes on the trail until we got to a great spot with swings in the trees and lots of rocks to throw in the river.
These two could be happy for a week with only rocks and a river to throw them in!
I caught some good action shots of Tessa's throws. :)
They loved spending more time with their cousins!
Rockwell also loved climbing the trees.
We will definitely be going here again.

Bean Museum

We met Al at the Bean Museum at BYU last week. Cody and Elena were staying with them, so we were glad to get to spend some time with them. We had stayed home most the week potty-training Tessa, so they were especially excited to get out and have some fun.
The girls loved the butterfly exhibit.
And the boys loved the ocean exhibit.
Now that's a group of studs!
They all loved the area with the slide, cave, talking owl, and magnetic ant hill.
The boys had fun pretending they were spies and hiding from the girls. I love to see my kids have so much fun with their cousins.
