Dance

I took some pictures of Tessa while she was dancing with her ribbon. And then I had fun using all the filters on my phone. Kinda cute!

Tessa and Hallee started a dance class through BYU. They love it so far.

Bear Lake

Brent and Kristene took the adults to Bear Lake this past weekend. In the range of August to October it is Paul and my anniversary, Carrie and Levi's anniversary, and Paul, Levi, and my birthdays. They decided to take everyone for a weekend away to celebrate all those things. They rented a beautiful cabin for us all to stay in.
The views from the deck were absolutely beautiful. It was right on the golf course, and you could see the lake in the distance. After visiting for a while, I took my book out on the deck and relaxed until Carrie, Levi and Cade got there. Talk about peaceful!
Oh, and I can't forget the slides outside the cabin. Paul and I definitely had some good laughs on those!

This is my favorite picture ever taken! I could not stop laughing when I saw it!!!
We went to dinner at a Glamping campground that Brent and Kristene had stayed at the night before. It was a super cool place. It was an open-air tent, with live country music, and delicious food.
After dinner we went to the Pickleville Playhouse to see Juanito Bandito. We all laughed so hard through the whole play. It was seriously so well done. I loved the improv moments when the actors couldn't stop laughing, and then just rolled with it.
We went back to the cabin and caught the last quarter of the BYU vs Utah football game before we all crashed for the night. Kristene made us a yummy breakfast in the morning. It was such a fun, relaxing weekend with family. Thank you a TON Brent and Kristene for spoiling us!

Also, a big thank-you to my mom for watching our kids so we could go to Bear Lake. They loved having all that Grandma time! They all talked about playing in the back of her truck with their stuffed animals. That thought that was so fun!

Life Lately

The kids had a blast running through the sprinklers on Labor Day.

Then they helped Paul wash the car.

This is Damon's new favorite spot for scripture reading and prayers every night. He doesn't let us start until he's all situated in his bucket. :)

The kids love to go to the church parking lot and ride their bikes. They come up with new, crazy things to do every time. And I love it because I can run a little bit while they ride. We usually go Saturday mornings, so Paul can catch up on some sleep in a quiet house. Win win win. :)

Al took Tessa and Hallee to see Leap last week. Tessa loved getting to go on a special outing with Al, Hallee and Grandma Ham. She has been dancing even more than usual since seeing the movie too.

Damon randomly told me a joke while we were waiting for Tess to come out of preschool today.
Damon: "Mom, knock knock."
Me: "Who's there?"
Damon: "Mmmm."
Me: "Mmmm who?"
Damon: "The mmmoon!"
He had looked at and talked about the moon all that morning on our run, so I guess it was on his mind. He's such a funny kid! He loves to make us laugh.

We played at Al's house after school today. Rockwell especially was so excited to see Wyatt. It's always a little sad for him when school starts and he doesn't get to spend as much time with Wyatt.
I love going over after school too so I can see the older kids that I don't get to see as much either. Caitlyn was so sweet and took Damon outside to play. He loved that! He also loved running and jumping to Al over and over again. Adorable!

Brig and McKay Come to Stay

We watched Brig and McKay from Thursday to Friday a couple weeks ago, while their parents went on a trip to the BYU football game in Louisiana. Rockwell and Tessa were so excited! We went over to the school Thursday afternoon so Rockwell could teach Brig how to play a game that he and his friends play at recess. It's called the bar game, and Brig has wanted to play for a while but has been too nervous to ask how. Rockwell was happy to teach him once he realized Brig didn't know how to play.
The kids all had fun playing on the playground until I was too hot. :)

Paul made a fire so we could roast hot dogs for dinner. McKay, Tessa, and Damon loved helping build the fire.

We made s'mores and played outside for a bit after dinner. Aubrey and Benji left a present for everyone, so they opened that after dinner too. They thought the glow in the dark face balloons were so much fun to play with in the dark basement.
We moved Tessa into the boys' bedroom to sleep and put McKay and Brig in Tessa's room. They actually all did really well sleeping that night. I was very pleasantly surprised. I took Rockwell, Brig, and his sister Abby to school the next morning. Tessa, Damon and McKay had fun spending the day playing lots of board games, jumping on the tramp, swinging, and watching a movie.
