Life Lately

Audrey, Katie and I have been having Sanditon Day once a week for a while now. We wanted to watch all the episodes from Season 1 before Season 2 started. We always visit for a while, get some lunch, and then watch an episode or two while Kenzie and Annabelle play. It's been so much fun! We've kept doing Sanditon Day even after we finished all of Season 1 because it's just fun to get together every week even when we don't actually watch Sanditon. Season 2 started last week and Katie made some special Sanditon Snacks. :) They were amazing!!

She had Sanditon Sandies, Tally Ho Ho's ("Tally Ho" is one of our favorite quotes from the show), and Charlotte Shots (we each poured our favorite drink into shot glasses). Good thing I collected shot glasses as a kid, so we could do the shots. Haha! I thought the Alcatraz shot glass would be good to represent the debtor's prison. :)

I was able to go watch Kiara run in one of her track meets. She did awesome! She got a PR on all three races she did and placed in the 100m. It was so fun to watch her and get to visit with her and Katie & Ben.

Damon came down with a cough this week and missed a few days of school. The weather was beautiful and so we tried to go outside as much as he could. He asked me to take a picture of him smiling upside down. :)

Tessa had her Biography Fest this week. She chose to research and write about Simone Biles. It was fun to go see what she's learned about her.

Rockwell had his World Fest this week too. He chose to research, write, and present on Ukraine. This was a big project, and Rockwell did most of it on his own. He enjoyed learning about Ukraine, especially that Grandma Clark's mother's family line comes from Ukraine, and really did a great job writing and presenting about it.

Kiara had another track meet at Timpanogos this week, and so Kenzie came and played at our house so she didn't have to sit at the meet for over 6 hours. Tessa was so excited to get to play with her all afternoon!

Rockwell's friend Levi had a solo in the school choir concert. They performed at Oak Canyon, and Rockwell asked if he could go to support him. I thought that was so nice of him. We really enjoyed the concert and had a fun night out together.

  2. How great to see the kids' accomplishments. I love that Rockwell did that presentation about Ukraine. Such a neat connection between him and Paul and our family.
