Tibble Fork

We took the kayaks and paddle boards up to Tibble Fork. I sure love it there!

Rockwell has definitely outgrown his kayak. He paddled on it for a while when we got there so that I could get some time on the paddle board. He's very thoughtful and made sure I got all the time I wanted, even though I know he has more fun on the paddle board.
Paul relaxed on the shore for a while so Tessa could have a turn on the paddle board.
She did great on it this year! As soon as she got used to it, her and Rockwell turned it into a race. Haha.
We ate some lunch and then got back on the lake.
Rockwell wanted to jump off the tree swing again.
And Damon wanted to jump off the big stump.
Damon got the hang of the paddle board too! It was such a fun family day!!

Around Our House

The day Tessa and I got back from Virginia Beach we had a cul-de-sac bbq at our house. Shiree usually hosts these, but they had airbnb guests that had requested extra quiet so we moved it to our yard. It was a fun evening, and we loved having Hallee there with us.

Rockwell has been getting some good driving time in. There's a lot to learn, but he's doing great so far!

Arete had their team party at the park. Tessa got the "Leaves her heart on the dance floor" award. She shined on floor all season long!
All the girls loved holding Kenaily. She is adorable!

Tessa and Damon played on the slip-n-slide one day. I caught some fun faces in pictures, and some really cute smiles too. :)

We bought a new sectional for our living room. We've had the brown couch since before we got married and it was starting to be pretty uncomfortable for our older bodies. :) Tessa helped set it up and we love the look and the comfort of it!

Paul helped me grill 40 pounds of chicken one morning. The Stake Young Women presidency serves dinner to the whole stake one night at girls camp, and so we split up the cooking ahead of time. I marinated and thawed all the chicken a couple days before, and then Paul grilled it while I chopped it and ran things back and forth from the kitchen to the grill. It was so nice of Paul to help! It took us over 4 hours, so I can't even imagine how long it would have taken by myself. Thank you Paul!!!

Partying in Virginia Beach

The only rental car that was available for Stacey and Morgan was a 15-passenger van. Hahahaha! Virginia Beach is a typical beach town with small, narrow streets, so Stacey was a little stressed about driving it. I decided to just Uber this trip because it was going to be cheaper than renting a car. We went to dinner together after the meet, and I asked if it wouldn't be too squishy and uncomfortable if Tessa and I could possibly ride with them. Haha! Stacey thought they could squeeze us in. :)

There's basically nowhere to park a van like that, so we went straight to the satellite lot for their hotel and then walked to dinner. Atlantic Avenue is a party at night and there was entertainment on almost every corner.
We stopped and watched the Unicycling Unicorn Man's show.
The next morning Tessa wanted to try on her new leotard. She and Morgan bought matching ones at the meet. They're super cute.
We met up with Morgan and Stacey and spent the day at the beach. Tessa wanted us to wear our matching swimsuits. :)
The beach is our happy place!!
Stacey and I got to visit and read our books while the girls enjoyed the waves and the sand.
We walked to dinner and got some ice cream before they had to leave for the airport. I just love that Tess and Morgan get to do this whole gymnastics life together. They're such cute friends!
Tessa and I had to check out of our hotel the next morning, but our flight didn't leave until the evening. Luckily the hotel kept our luggage all day and let us use their bathrooms to change before we left for the airport. That was really nice! We rented a surrey rode up and down the boardwalk.
We found a Lending Box by the pier that had a boogie board in it, so we grabbed that and put it in the surrey with us.
It was very hot that day, especially after pedaling around in the surrey, so the ocean felt so good!
We swam out past where the waves were breaking and enjoyed the more relaxing ebb and flow of the water.
Tessa enjoyed boogie boarding too. It was such a fun trip!!!
