Julie Comes to Visit: Part 2

Julie and her kids came over for a bit Monday afternoon. Julie hadn't seen our house, so I showed her around and then we visited for a while. Rockwell and Tessa loved playing with Ammon and Ashley. Then we went to the Jordan River Temple open house. There was a big event at the high school that night that all the administrators had to be at, so Paul wasn't able to come with us. Alexys walked with and carried Tessa the whole time, which was so helpful. Tess loved it!

Studs!
It's beautiful inside the temple. It was fun to show the kids where Paul and I got married.

Tuesday morning we all met at Al's and went to the Provo River Parkway. We walked, rode bikes, climbed on everything we saw, threw rocks, and said hi to all the ducks. It was a really fun way to spend the morning.

Grandma and Julie took some of the kids to do baptisms for the dead at the Salt Lake temple that afternoon. I met them at Leatherby's that night for one last chance to visit with everyone. I took Lindy's friend to the trax station and then Lindy and I drove back to Provo. It was so fun to visit with her. She's an amazing girl!
I'm so glad that the Ham's came to visit. I just love that family. It's been really great to get a couple chances lately to spend time with them and get to know them better.

Julie Comes to Visit

Julie and her kids came to town for part of their Spring Break. Lindy had a dance competition in Idaho, so they came down for a few days after that. My mom picked Jacob and Ammon up on Thursday and brought them down, and then Julie, Lindy, and Ashley came on Saturday. I met them at Elijah's track meet on Saturday and we had a girl's day. Elijah did great in the relay. He took his team up at least 2 spots in his run, and his team took 3rd place.

The track meet was freezing, but I was so happy to be out with my sisters and nieces that I thought it was so fun. :) It had been a long week with Damon and Tessa each throwing up on different days and Paul being pretty busy. We were laughing about how moms love breaks so much that I thought standing out in the freezing wind and rain was great.

The girls ate dinner at Mel's house and Mel, Julie and I went to Costa Vida for dinner. Then we picked the girls up and went to The Greatest Showman. That movie just doesn't get old! We walked over to Cold Stone after the movie. It was a really fun night. We missed Al though.

We all went to Grandma and Grandpa Ham's house for Sunday dinner and to celebrate March birthdays. The kids loved getting to play with their cousins! The kids kept asking Damon for high fives all night and would get so excited when he'd say yes.

Ammon taught Rockwell and Wyatt how to make toot noises with their armpits. Rockwell is extremely proud of this new skill! :)

We took some pictures with just the ladies. I'm sure grateful to have each of them in my life. Sisters and moms make great friends!

Grandma did an Easter egg hunt for all the grandkids, which they loved.

Alexys took good care of Damon and helped him find his eggs.

Around Our House

Rockwell has really been into dominoes lately.
One day he set up a train using every single domino. It took quite some time, but I was impressed that he stuck with it and with what he learned through the process. He left gaps, setting the dominoes to the side so that if some were knocked over it wouldn't knock down the entire train. Then he filled in the gaps at the end. It was fun to watch the whole train go down.
Jon and Buffie came over for a bbq. We went to the park for a while and then made street tacos and played at our house. The kids always have so much fun with Olivia.

Damon wore a tie to church and immediately looked about 4 years older.

We've had some really nice weather lately and the kids have loved playing outside.

Tessa had a field trip to the fire station. The fireman wasn't really a kid person, so it wasn't the best field trip ever, but the kids did like climbing through the fire truck at least. I loved watching Tess and Damon hold hands while they listened to the fireman.

I noticed that Rockwell measured his stuffed penguin, Pongo, on our height board. Funny kid!

We sure love Dad. It's always so exciting when he gets home from work. All the kids run to give him hugs, screaming "Daddy's home!!!" as loud as they can.

Damon threw up all day on Saturday. Luckily he wasn't totally miserable, but the poor thing couldn't keep anything down.

The family took good care of him though. It was sweet to see how concerned Rockwell and Tessa were.

Baptism Day

Rockwell chose to be baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on March 3, 2018.
It was a very special day. Our families and friends came to support Rockwell and show him how much they love him. Grandma Clark and Grandma Ham gave great talks during the program, and Gramps and Grandpa Ham were the witnesses of his baptism. We are all so proud of the boy Rockwell chooses to be and that he wants to follow Christ's example and commit to following Him throughout his life.

We went to Cafe Rio afterwards. That was a great way to spend more time with our family and friends, without being so stressed about a luncheon at my house that I couldn't enjoy this special day.
Gramps and Grandma stayed for Rockwell's basketball game that afternoon. Tessa and Damon had so much fun riding on Grandma's knees!
