Distance Challenge Track Meet

Rockwell ran in an indoor pre-season meet at the Olympic Oval in Kearns. He chose to run the 1600m this time.

He hasn't trained for the mile this year since he's on the mid-distance team, but he used to enjoy the mile at Oak Canyon so he wanted to run it again. He did great!! He finished in 5:06.22. That's a PR for him on the mile.

This meet was ginormous. There were over 400 boys that ran the 1600m.

He also ran the 400m. This seems to be his favorite race in track.

He was in a heat with seniors and juniors, and he said they pushed him real hard. He set a new PR at 55.60 and was really happy with himself when he crossed the finish line.
