Everyday Adventures

Jonah got his mission call and will be serving in Paris, France!! He is such a good guy and will be great at sharing and teaching the gospel to the people of France. We're going to miss him being around for two years, but it will be fun to hear about his experiences.
He asked Paul to give the prayer when he opened his call. Al sent me this picture later that night and said, "I don't know if that's okay, but I did it anyway. :)" Haha.
Tessa was at the temple with the Young Women that night.

I took Rockwell to the doctor again to do his asthma test. The only time he has a hard time with his breathing is when the weather is really cold, in the 20s or 30s. The day of his test the weather was in the 60s, so that was frustrating. His doctor just prescribed an inhaler and told him to try it on cold days and see if it helps.

Tessa joined the youth choir for the youth session of Stake Conference. It was a really great meeting, and it was so fun to hear Tessa sing in the choir.
The extra session of conference made for a really long day for Tessa and Rockwell. They were grumpy that afternoon and I could tell Tessa needed to get out. We went rollerblading and the fresh air helped her feel better.
She showed me that she can skate on the front wheels only. That was pretty cool!

Paul gave me tickets to Ragtime at The Ruth (the new Hale Center Theatre in Pleasant Grove) for Christmas.
Front row tickets were the same price, so he went for those. Ragtime wasn't our favorite play ever, but it was really fun to have a date night out with Paul.

Tessa loved spending the day at Hallee's. No matter how long they play, it never seems to be long enough. :)

I spent the morning with my mom on her birthday. She was having a good day, and it was so fun to have some time with her when she was able to communicate a little more. I showed her pictures and videos of the kids and she seemed to really enjoy seeing what they've been up to lately. It was a day I'll remember and carry in my heart forever.
Happy birthday Mom. I sure love you!!

We got quite a bit of snow one day. We haven't gotten much snow this winter, so the kids spent the whole afternoon and evening playing in it.
They walked to the park with Tristan and Vincent to go sledding. I love that they have such good friends right across the street.

  1. Thanks so much for coming to Jonah's mission call opening. It meant a lot to him and me. I'm so glad you had that special experience with mom on her birthday. What a blessing!
