St George Weekend

We drove to St George Friday evening. Tricia brought over a Taylor Swift mad-lib book for Tessa that afternoon and it provided great entertainment for the drive. :)

Rockwell chose to stay home so he could go to the Utah County Invitational meet on Saturday. We sure missed him!! He wasn't super happy with his races, but he enjoyed the weekend. He spent all day Saturday at the meet and all day Sunday at Vincent's house.
We stayed at Sports Village again. The kids were so excited to go to the Grip Ninja after Tessa's meet on Saturday. I had gotten up early to get Tessa's hair ready and I was real tired after the meet. I took a nap while Paul took the kids to the Grip Ninja and then I walked over and joined them when I woke up. :)
We went to Swig and then I took the kids swimming and Paul took a nap. :) The weather was nice and warm! I loved it.
That night we went to the game room.
Tessa and I each got a hole-in-one on the same hole.
Damon thought it was a pretty neat trick that he fit his pinky inside the hole at the top of the putter and could carry it that way. He did not think it was neat when his pinky got stuck inside it though. Haha. It was good and stuck for a while and it hurt him to get it unstuck. Poor thing.
Sunday morning we played at the park and Damon and I played some volleyball.
Then we went to Pioneer Park to hike around on the red rock. The kids loved that they could climb on everything!
There's a pretty view of the city at the top.
There aren't really trails, you can just go anywhere you want and the kids loved exploring.
Then we walked over to the Red Hills Desert Garden. It's a pretty, peaceful botanical garden.
There was the cutest little hummingbird flying around one of the trees. She had the tiniest, squeakiest chirp.
I told Tess she should pretend to kiss the frog prince. She didn't like that idea. Haha!
We had a super fun, very active weekend and the kids slept a lot of the way home. It was really nice to get away for a weekend and have some fun family time.
