Everyday Adventures

The third grade had their Wax Museum/Biography Day at school. Rockwell chose to learn about LeBron James.
He did a great job writing a report about LeBron, making a poster with the information he learned, and telling the parents about him at the museum.

Brylie got to come play at our house while Carrie was running some errands one day. We all loved having her over. She is adorable!

Rockwell went to Bode's birthday party at Provo Beach Resort. It was a beautiful day, so Tessa, Damon and I stuck around and shopped at the Riverwoods.

Tessa is very proud of the big bubbles she can blow.

Grandpa Barth came over for lunch while he was in town. The kids loved the Easter gift he gave each of them.
And Rockwell loved beating him at arm wrestling. :)

It's been a while since Damon and I have been able to go to story time. We went this week, and Damon loved going again.

Tessa is so funny. She goes all in when she pretends.

These two were laughing so hard while we were waiting to pick Rockwell up from school. I could listen to it all day!

Rockwell has been playing spring soccer in Provo. He's doing great and had an especially good game on Saturday. He really seems to be trying to implement what his coach teaches him. I just love watching him play!

Rockwell loves that he gets to play with Wyatt, and I love that I get to see my nephew play every week. Wyatt and Hallee came home with us after their game on Saturday. They had so much fun spending the afternoon with their cousins.

Science Palooza

Al invited us to go to a Science Palooza with her, Wyatt, and Hallee at the Provo Rec Center.
There were stations set up in a couple gyms where the kids could learn about all sorts of different scientific concepts.
They also had a few missions where the kids could learn about space travel, the moon, mars, and asteroids.
The kids sure loved it! Rockwell told me at least 5 times while we were there how much fun he was having. :)

Days of '47 Pageant

Aunt Emilie was selected to participate in the Days of '47 Royalty Pageant. It is a scholarship pageant for the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Paul and I went to the evening competition, where each girl answered an impromptu personal question. Then the Top 10 contestants were announced, and each of them answered another question about an experience from their lives that they want their progenitors to learn from. Emilie did awesome! She was competing all weekend, and it sounds like she was the star of the show at the dance Friday night. She won 2nd Attendant!! She totally deserves it. She has accomplished a lot in her life and has spent countless hours serving others.
They only allowed the parents to go backstage with the winners, so Paul and I had some fun waiting with the rest of the crowd until Emilie was finished with her photoshoot. :)

I loved finding this note that Rockwell left on our bed when we got home that night. I love that he loves reading, that he wants to share stuff with us, and that he asks about our date. He is just the coolest kid!

Our Spring Break

We all enjoyed our Spring Break this year. We didn't do anything big, but we had fun every day and got to spend a lot of time with friends. Wyatt and Hallee played at our house on April Fools Day and the kids had a great time playing pranks on each other. :)
They always have a great time when they're with their cousins!
Al watched our kids all day while Paul and I went shopping for a new van. They loved spending the whole day there!
We were very underwhelmed by all the vans we test drove. After a couple days of deliberation, we decided to stick with the van we have for now. Once that was decided, we felt better about Paul buying the truck he's been wanting for months. He loves it! I've had fun driving it too, and the kids have loved going for rides in the back around the neighborhood.
We also went to Katie's to play one day. The kids always have so much fun at her house.
We emptied and refilled our hot tub. The kids love helping with that.
I took the kids to a park one day. Apparently everyone else in Orem had the same idea because it was absolutely packed! The weather was great, and the kids still had a great time though.
We had some nice, warm weather and we had some cold, rainy weather. Whenever it was warm, we played outside.
Paul did a lot of cooking over the break. All three of the kids helped out with at least one meal.
Their favorite was homemade pizzas!
We did our best to watch General Conference. The sessions where the kids were playing outside had some fantastic talks! :)
My parents, Al's family, and Kyle came over Saturday night. The men walked over to the church for the Priesthood session, and the rest of us partied at our house. It was nice to visit with my mom after another hard week, the kids had a blast playing late, and Caitlyn and Alexys enjoyed the hot tub.
