Around Our House

I love seeing how the kids are sleeping when we check on them at night. :)

Tessa still loves bugs. She caught a grasshopper and carried it around with her for the morning.

Damon was "relaxing" while he rode this bike around the cul-de-sac.

Rockwell is such a great kid! When the kids got home from school the other day, Tessa asked why something was on the counter. I told her I needed to unload the dishwasher and then load all the dishes from the sink and counter. Rockwell walked over to the dishwasher and unloaded it. He is the sweetest! Tessa and Damon helped unload it too when they saw Rockwell doing it. I love that he's such a good example to his brother and sister. I told him he sure makes his mama's heart happy and proud. Later that afternoon, I was helping Tessa with her homework when the washer signaled that it was finished. Rockwell went and put the clothes in the dryer and started it. Seriously, I'm one lucky woman to be Rockwell's mom!

Tessa and I both wore our flag shirts for Patriot's Day.

Damon's favorite thing to do right now is play games. He loves Alphabet Go Fish, Animal Match, and Exploding Kittens.

Tessa has some great tricks on the swings. :)
I loved listening to the kids laughing together on the swings. They thought it was hilarious to all be swinging on the same swing.

Rockwell has been playing soccer with Provo Fury. His coach put their names on their jerseys.

He's enjoying it, and especially loves that Wyatt is on his team and that Kyle is one of his coaches.
Their team hasn't won a game yet, but Rockwell is learning a lot of great skills. He scored a goal two weeks ago, and was really excited about that. The teams they're playing in this league are definitely more challenging than the teams in rec league.

We went to the carnival at the kids' school last week. It was a rainy day and so the carnival was inside. We were disappointed because carnivals are so much more enjoyable when they're outside. The kids had fun though, and Paul and I survived. :) Rockwell and Tayvin went and played the games together and then Rock met us for dinner. We got to watch them play this basketball battle.
Tessa and Damon were so excited to see Cosmo.

Paul has been so busy for a long time now. He wanted to spend more time with the kids so he took Rockwell with him to show homes last week. Rockwell loved going to work with Dad. They went to Wendy's after the showings and got some food.
This week he took Tessa with him to show homes. She loved it too, and loved going to Wendy's with Dad afterward.

Bear Lake

Gramps and Grandma Clark took the whole family to Bear Lake again this year. We love this weekend! It's so relaxing and so fun to spend a few days straight with just the adults. Paul and I got there late Friday night and spent a while visiting and laughing with everyone. I got up early Saturday morning and went for a run. It is beautiful there!

I was really hoping to make it all the way to the lake, but I wasn't sure if there was any place where I could access it. Luckily after about 4 miles I saw a sign for public beach access. I'm guessing this isn't where most people play at the beach when they come to Bear Lake. It was pretty from a distance, but you would have to get quite dirty if you wanted to get all the way out to the water. I'm glad I made it there though, since that was the goal. :)

We had a fun morning eating great food and playing games. Brent is so competitive at Code Names and I love it!

We also did a Clue escape room. We made it out on time with a few hints.

After that we got some famous raspberry shakes.

We got to spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing at the cabin. I love reading and visiting out on the deck. So fun and so beautiful!

We ate dinner at Pickleville Playhouse Saturday night, and then watched Shootout at Shadow Mountain. It was not written as a Juanito Bandito play, but an actor ended up missing the last four performances and so Juanito Bandito filled in for him. It was so funny!

We had another great breakfast on Sunday and played more games throughout the morning. We sure appreciate Brent and Kristene doing this for the family. We had a wonderful time!

Clark Campout

We did a campout at Gramps and Grandma Clark's house for Labor Day.
Chad was in town, so the whole family was there this year. The kids love playing outside for hours and hours with their cousins.
They also love the campfire, night games, and sleeping in the tent.
Monday morning we all went to the Hooper Tomato Days Parade. Emilie was in the parade, and Levi drove her and Anastasia through it.
The kids were so excited that this parade threw out candy and prizes. :)
Rockwell's tooth fell out as he was eating some candy!
It was another great family campout that wore the kids out. Damon fell asleep right in the middle of eating his happy meal on the way home. :) Thanks Grandma and Gramps!

Back To School

We were all ready for school to start this year. Summer was super fun, but it's been so nice to have schedules again.
Rockwell is in 4th grade with Mrs. Ellsworth.
Tessa is in 1st grade with Mrs. Smith
Tessa didn't want me to walk her into her class on the first day. I'm so glad she's confident, but she is seeming a little too grown up lately.  Doesn't she look super mature in these pictures?!
Damon is in preschool with Mrs. Roxi
He also told me I didn't need to walk him inside. He just jumped out of the van and ran right inside. I wasn't sure how he would handle preschool, so I was just happy and relieved that he wasn't nervous at all. He loved his first day! He was all smiles when he came out.

I was quite excited for my two hours of alone time while all three kids were in school at the same time. I had been looking forward to a long run all by myself. I left our house and ran from there up into Provo Canyon. I felt so free! :)
