Rockwell was happy to be with his friends and teammates in Arizona. There had been a lot of rain that day and there's a cool rainbow behind the boys.
Rockwell said it felt good to run. He and Joel were out front the whole time.
Rockwell finished 1st!!! I was so happy that he could have a good experience, especially in the midst of two really hard, heavy weeks.
They raced at Toka Sticks Golf Course again. Matt, Lori, and Elena had flown home Friday night, so they were there to cheer him on. Rockwell loved that!
He finished 1st with a time of 17:22.3
Region was at Mountain View park again. Teams are able to race 8 Varsity kids instead of 7, so Rockwell ran the Varsity race.
It was a hard run both mentally and physically for him. He had missed some practices that week for Max's funeral and for just feeling worn down emotionally and exhausted. He didn't quite have it in him to run his best that week. Although it is totally understandable, he was still very frustrated. His emotions were just very surface-level that day and he had a real hard time.
He finished in 25th place with a time of 17:21.3

Those times are amazing!
