The cross country team went to Woodbridge, California for a meet. The top 10 boys and girls got to go. They have so much fun on these travel meets!
The boys ran really well. I think most of them PR-ed. Rockwell said his PR doesn't really count because it was a shorter course though. :)
The top 100 of each race got a medal.
Hillary was in California for a vacation, so she went to the meet and sent me a picture of Rockwell and Ollie.
They went to Newport Beach and had a blast in the ocean.
I know they did some shopping at outlets and few other fun things on the trip. Rockwell said it was an absolute blast!
They had their Region Meet at Scera Park.
Paul and I were driving to the park and passed the team on their warm-up run. Rockwell had different hair than when he left the house that morning! He and a few other boys went to Luke's at lunch and buzzed their heads. That was a surprise!! Haha.
Rockwell's stomach wasn't feeling good before the race. We talked to him before it started and wished him luck to just do his best and hope he could make it the whole race. He did great considering how he was feeling! He finished in 18:13.9, 33rd place, and 5th on the team.
