Life Lately

Rockwell is playing rec basketball with Aiden and Ashton. They ended up on a team with a lot of boys from their grade at school. It's been a fun season so far.

Damon had his 100th Day of School celebration where the kids are supposed to dress like a Grandpa/Grandma. He was quite the silver fox! :)

Paul was talking with Junko one day and asking how Kai is doing. Kai was in the Life Skills class at Timpanogos, but has graduated out of the program, and Paul misses seeing him every day. Junko was saying that it's been hard on Kai to not have school anymore, and also not have SNAP activities anymore because of Covid, in addition to some family challenges.  Paul invited Kai to come be a helper in the library a few days a week, and he gladly accepted!! I took some pictures from Junko's facebook post. :)

Richmond came to play one day and Damon ran right upstairs to change into his matching BYU shirt. :)

I joined the Sharon Says So book club. This was another Christmas present from Paul. I love learning about government and current events from Sharon's instagram account. It's a very positive and uplifting space, and it's been fun to become a little more involved through joining the Book Club. We call ourselves Governerds, because we all think it's fun to spend our time learning more about the government, current affairs, and how to be a better citizen. We meet over zoom to discuss the books we're reading (with the authors too, which is really cool), just hang out and talk about our shared interests (which really could be so many things!), Sharon does deep dives about certain topics that we vote on, and we just have a lot more content and time spent with Sharon than her regular account. I thought it was so funny when someone asked on the account how many of us refer to her as "my friend Sharon" when we talk about things we learn there. It's a really fun online community.

  1. That is so cool that Kai is working in the library. Paul is so good at influencing people for good. Damon looks awesome! I want to do a book club, that looks really fun.
