Kaua'i Day 3

Friday morning Tessa and I walked to the ponds to take pictures of her new outfit. :)

It was a little rainy again this morning, so we had a slow morning deciding what to do.
Paul took the kids to the pool while I went on a run to check out a new beach a few friends had told us about. It's called Hideaways Beach, and it only has 8 parking spots, so if you want to get a spot you have to go really early. It's quite the steep decline to get there from the parking lot, and with it raining so much it was really slippery.
But the beach was awesome!!
It was a small beach, with trees lining it creating shade, and gorgeous views of the coast. I thought it was worth trying to get a spot there one morning for sure.

We decided to head down south to Poipu Beach after lunch.
We wanted to see the turtles again, so we planned to stay until dark. There were already about 7 turtles on the sand when we got there though!
Rockwell, Tessa, and Paul snorkeled for a while and saw a bunch of fish and turtles.
There were a couple grown men who got so excited about seeing the turtles. It was really fun to watch them. :) They were yelling to Paul and the kids that a turtle was heading their way, so they all went underwater. Tessa was instantly face-to-face with a turtle. She said it was so cool!!
The waves got bigger as the night went on, and Tessa did some boogie boarding too.
We walked over and got some Puka Dogs and pizza for dinner.
We went back over to see the turtles on shore before we went home for the night. There were probably about 30 at that point, and one lady who stays with them at night told us that some nights there have been over 100 turtles!!
