Kaua'i Day 8

We decided to spend our last day at Hanalei Bay.

We were really hoping to be able to jump off the pier, so Paul and I went and checked out the wave situation when we got there.
It looked safe, so we went and told the kids. Rockwell was so excited and jumped over and over!
Paul jumped in and was there in the water to help Tessa and Damon make it over to the ladder.
It was such a blast. We definitely started something, and a bunch of people came over and jumped too. :)
Tessa and Damon headed back over to play in the sand after a while, and Rockwell, Paul and I jumped for a while longer. It's just so much fun!!
When we got back to our chairs, Damon had made a friend and they were building a fort on the beach. :)
We boogie boarded, soaked up the sun, and played in the sand the rest of the afternoon. It's always so sad to leave the beach on the last day, so we stayed as long as we could until we were too hungry to stay any longer.
We got some lunch in Hanalei. This town is our happy place, for sure. We love it here!
We got one last shave ice from Sunrise.
And then spent the rest of the day swimming at our pool. Paul and I were finished swimming and sitting at a table watching the kids. A couple was grilling steaks and invited us to play cards with them while they waited for their food. We played a couple rounds of SkipBo with them and had a good time.
Paul and Rockwell grilled steaks for us for dinner too, which were delicious. An employee knocked on our door and had a gift basket for us. While we were driving with Don the night before, we found out he and his kids were staying a few doors down from us at Bali Hai. That was sure nice of Don to send that to us.
Sadly it was filled with macadamia nuts and chardonnay. Haha. Paul found a family out at the grills and explained that our son is severely allergic, but we didn't want it to go to waste. They were happy to take it. It really did mean a lot that Don sent us a thank you though!

We took a picture of the kids on the bench on our way out to the airport Thursday morning. It's fun to look at the pictures from past years and see how the kids are growing up!
