Everyday Adventures

My dad wrote a history of his and my mom's life together. He called it their Small Plates. :) He put pictures in and everything. It's a very neat scrapbook. He wanted to share it with his kids, so Mel, Al and I went over a couple evenings and he read it to us. It was so fun to see Dad so proud of Mom and all that she has accomplished in her life, and to read all the love that he expressed through the scrapbook.

Rockwell has had a few "asthma attacks" and is feeling frustrated. I put asthma attack in quotes because we're not convinced it's asthma per se. His allergist swears it's exercise-induced asthma, but the inhaler doesn't help him and I haven't heard the tell-tale wheezing. His breath is definitely constricted, but it doesn't fit the description of asthma perfectly. Anyway, we have an appointment with a pulmonologist in a couple months and will hopefully get some answers then. Jody had a thought that Rock should get his iron tested because apparently low iron can cause breathing issues when exercising. I took him to get that checked and the pediatrician suggested getting a full blood work and x-rays of his lungs now so we can take them to the pulmonologist and move things along faster hopefully.

Damon chose to be in a children's choir at Stake Conference. They sang prelude music and sounded great!

Tessa helps Rockwell choose outifts that look good together. I don't know why I love this so much, but I do. :)

Paul and I celebrated our 20 year anniversary!! We had dinner at Smoked Taco and then went to Barnes & Noble and perused the books. Paul found a stapler in jello that says quotes from The Office and wanted it for his office at school. :)
It's sure been a wonderful 20 years with Paul by my side! I love love love him!

I was able to go to Quincy's adoption. Katie and Ben are amazing parents and their family is just beautiful!
Katie is so good at taking hard things and making them into better situations. I admire so much about her and I'm grateful to call her my best friend!
I love Quincy so much!

  1. I love the picture of Rockwell and Tessa, that is so fun that they do that and are so close. The stapler in the jello is awesome.
