Pinecrest Lake Vacation

We decided to do our family vacation at Pinecrest Lake this year. The Barth aunts and uncles said there was a week that would be available for us to use the family cabin, so that's what we did. It sure is beautiful there.
I love the view from the porch. We loved sitting out there and watching the lake before people came for the day.
It took us 12 hours to drive there. Damon started pouting at the Salt Flats, when he asked if we were there yet and we said we still had a very long time. Ha! The kids really did great on the ride and didn't  drive us too crazy at all.
We stopped for dinner at the Strawberry Inn, just outside of Pinecrest. It was really pricey, but we were starving by that point, so we just ate there anyway. At least the view was pretty. :)

Pinecrest does Movies Under the Stars most nights of the week. Paul and Rockwell went and saw Solo one night, and I took Tessa and Rockwell to see Incredibles 2. We loved looking at all the stars on our walk home from the theatre.
The kids loved finding cool sticks, rocks, and pinecones around the property. They built nests for birds, and Rockwell loved leaving peanuts out for the squirrels. This squirrel sure appreciated all the nuts!
Damon and I walked up to the store and gift shop one day while Paul, Rockwell, and Tessa were fishing. It's a cool little resort town, and we liked checking it out.
It was a great week of no cell reception or internet, and lots of family time. We were all worn out when it was time to go home.
