Day 1

The first thing we all wanted to do was go to a beach. Monday morning we walked across the street to Laniloa Beach.

Some rainclouds blew in, but we were able to play for a while before the rain started. And the wind made for some great waves!

We walked back to the hotel when the rain started and had some lunch. It passed quickly, so we went down to the pool for the afternoon. There was a limit of 35 people in the pool area, and you had to sign up for a 2-hour time slot. It was kind of nice that there was a limit and so it wasn't crowded. There were a few days that the next time slot wasn't filled up and so we could stay longer.

I love that our kids are capable enough to be in the pool without us. Paul and I could sit in the hot tub, or relax on the chairs if we didn't feel like getting in the pool.

We were all dying for a shave ice our first day as well, so we tried Angel's since it was a couple minutes away from the hotel. It didn't compare to JoJo's Shave Ice at all. We knew we needed to keep searching for the good stuff. :)
