The only challenging part about staying at the Marriott was that we were all in one room with one bathroom for 9 nights. Getting the whole family showered took a really long time and made the room really hot. There were times when we started to get on each other's nerves being in that close of a space. Tuesday morning I could tell the kids needed to be separated, so I walked across to the beach with Tessa and Damon.
There was the cutest swing on the beach!
After we got back to the hotel, we headed out to hike Likelike Falls. It was such a gorgeous hike!!
It was very muddy, which made it slippery. Damon had a hard time with those parts of the hike. He needed a lot of help to not fall.
The waterfall was so pretty!
Even though our shoes and legs were covered in mud when we finished the hike, I loved it!
After the hike we went to Lanikai Beach.
Melanie and her mom met us there.
Maria was there visiting the same time we were and it was fun to see her again too. We visited on the beach while the kids played in the water. I loved catching up with Mel and hearing about her life on the island. Paul went out with the kids for a while and snorkeled. There were fish that would come nibble on their feet when they were holding still. And they saw a turtle. Apparently Damon made a friend. I waited too long to get my camera out and missed capturing Damon holding hands with this girl. Her mom and I sure thought it was cute though! :)
