Damon is such a calm and sweet baby. He is very content with life.
From the day he was born we could tell what a special boy he is. He spent the first 3 days of his life in the NICU on oxygen. His night nurse fell instantly in love with him and went above and beyond her duties to take extra good care of him, even sneaking him out of the NICU into my room before I was able to get out of bed. Even when he was released from the NICU she would come to our room to visit him. Paul and I were so grateful to have someone taking such great care of him when we couldn't be there with him. He was so calm and chill that for the first few weeks it was hard to tell if he was breathing a lot of the time. It's so peaceful to hold him, he just cuddles right up to you and doesn't need much besides someone to hold him and love him.
He has an old soul and his eyes connect with you more than you feel like a baby should at only a couple months old.
Al described him very well on her blog. She said, "He is the cutest little baby, but he seems so wise at the same time. It feels like he could just start talking and fill you in on the mysteries of the world."
Damon pretty much has 2 settings: calm and chill...
and happy and smiling.
He is very fascinated with his hands right now.
He was born with a full head of hair and it has just continued to grow. Paul gave him his first haircut when he was 2 months old.
Rockwell and Tessa love having Damon Boy around. Our family feels complete now that Damon is here with us.
