Enjoying Christmas Presents

I was pretty big on getting the kids activities instead of toys this Christmas. It's been fun to do the activities and spend time with them. They both got a few puzzles.

They each got a terrarium. I'm not very good at growing things, so I was nervous I would ruin it for them.

But after a few days of watering and watching, both of their plants were growing out of the jar.

They also got science experiment kits.

Rockwell's is a magic experiment kit, so the first thing we did was make a magic wand. We made some crystals in a test tube. They didn't turn out anything like we thought they would. They were really squishy and soft. We had fun playing with them before we poured them in the wand.

Tessa loves her bike and rides it all around the hall and kitchen.

Rockwell and Paul built and painted an airplane that Aunt Emilie gave him.

Tessa has loved all of her cutting activities (also from Aunt Emilie).

And they've both loved having tea parties with Tessa's new tea set. (Thanks Grandma Clark!)
