We've had lots of fun playing at Al's house. I love that they live so close now!
Paul wanted to see if blondes really do have more fun. ;) His school raised enough money for Sub for Santa that he and a couple students had to go blonde. It took quite a bit of getting used to an Eminem-look-alike hanging around our house. When Tessa saw it she asked me, "Did Daddy rub his hair in his dinner?!" I don't know what that meant exactly, but she and Rockwell both voted that they like Dad with black hair instead of yellow.
The kids always look so nice for church.
I was able to go to Amarie's dance recital and take Caitlyn with me. Amarie is a beautiful dancer. I really enjoyed seeing her do something she loves.
We got to play with Richmond and McKay again. I don't know how parents of twins do it. Two babies crawling can be quite challenging.
Rockwell and Tessa love to make up games. They rolled a bouncy ball through a wrapping paper tube off the upstairs balcony trying to hit the other one standing at the front door. This entertained them for a pretty good amount of time.
The kids wanted to help me wrap all the Christmas presents this year. They both love everything that has to do with Christmas.
There are some days where I get overwhelmed just by thinking about doing anything with 3 kids. And then there are other days where I feel like Superwoman because of all I do with 3 kids. We were a sight to be seen at Costco buying Paul's Christmas gifts. I had one of the orange flatbed carts with 2 enormous shelving units, 1 pack of large storage buckets, 3 kids (1 in a carseat), 2 diaper boxes, toilet paper, and various food items. I can't even count how many people offered to help me (which is so nice of them, but I kinda just wanted to say, "Don't you see that all my children are happy and I have everything arranged perfectly? I got this!!" Haha.) And then there was trying to fit all that in the van...The picture doesn't do it justice. There was not an extra inch of space in there.
Luckily all 3 of my kids are truly well-behaved children, and also so much fun to be around. I love spending time with them all day every day. :)
Damon still gets so much love and attention from his big brother and sister. They are really having fun with how mobile Damon is now.
They made up a game with Damon. Rockwell would shoot the ball out of his gun in Damon's direction, Tessa looked for it with her binoculars and tried to get it before Damon did. It was so cute to see them include Damon in their game. Damon can move pretty fast if he wants something, so there were a few times Damon beat Tessa to the ball.
Paul worked on a few projects around the house over Christmas break. Rockwell and Tessa loved helping him. I love how patient he is with them.
Rockwell put a tiny blanket on Damon's back and he and Tessa thought it was so funny when I flew him around saying he was Super Damon.
Damon loves this bucket. He dumps the train tracks out of it and crawls around holding it. The bucket is as big as he is, so it's pretty funny to watch.
This is one of Damon's favorite spots now. He's all smiles when he's up there.
We love living by you guys! I love the picture of you and the kids. I love all of the games Rockwell and Tessa come up with.
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate!! People always look at me and my 5 kiddos wanting to help. And the kids are always behaving!! It's not like they are running wildly around the store. Shear numbers are against me :)
ReplyDeleteYou are superwoman Tiff! You do so much and do it well with your children! Great job!
