Park City

We got to go to the Leadership Retreat with Paul's school this week. We spent 3 days in Park City with all the student leadership groups. It was so much fun! We went straight to the Olympic Park and spent most the day there Tuesday. I got to take both the kids on the Alpine Slide, which we loved. The grown man in front of Tessa and me went so slowly that we were able to stop and take a selfie, watch some butterflies, enjoy the scenery... Luckily the lady behind me went extremely slow too and we were able to stop long enough to let the man get way ahead of us and we could go "super duper duper" fast the rest of the way.

They had a park that the kids loved playing on while we waited for whoever was doing an activity.
Paul and Rockwell did the kids' ropes course. Rockwell was in absolute heaven doing this!

The course ended with a zip line. He said that was his favorite part. We seriously had so much fun!

The next morning we watched the students' Spirit Bowl. It was a lot of fun to watch.
Paul even did a karaoke duet with the new principal! Tessa and Damon had lost interest by then, so sadly I was out exploring the hotel with them and missed it. But luckily someone recorded it and promptly emailed it to the faculty, so I at least got to watch it that way.

That afternoon I went to a park with some other wives while the students and faculty were in training meetings. It was so nice to spend some time with Mari again, and make a new friend in Amy. We were all saying how much our husbands love Timpanogos and never want to work at any other school. Amy said she totally gets it just by coming to things like this retreat. The school has such a positive, inclusive culture that she even loves coming to their events. Paul and I feel so blessed that everything has worked out for him to stay at the school in an administrative position.
We had such a fun, relaxing time there. It was a great getaway.
