Damon Doyle is 7 years old!!
Damon loves to have fun and laugh. He loves to be with his friends, and has a good group of friends in his class at school. He works so hard at school and has thrived in first grade. He always comes right home and gets his homework done without being asked. It's been a very good school year for him.
Damon loves going to gymnastics and wishes he could go more often. He's learning a lot and it's been fun to see him improve. He loves to be active and to be outside. He loves to ride his bike, jump on the tramp, swing, and to get a bat out and hit a baseball.
Damon loves it when people will play video games with him, especially Minecraft. He loves to play card games and board games.
Damon can't help but dance when he hears music. When a song he really likes comes on he'll say, "Oh ya!" and his hips start moving immediately. :)
Damon brings so much laughter and happiness to our family. He's a hard worker and loves to help with big projects. Mrs Smith tells us often that she can always count on him to be the helper when she asks, or if he just sees that something needs to be done. We're very proud of you Damon, and love love love being your parents!!
Damon requested crepes for his birthday breakfast, and Paul went into work a little late so he could make them.
He had a good day at school, and wanted to open his presents as soon as he got home.
It's so fun to watch him open presents. He was super expressive and excited about everything he got.
He wanted to get right to playing with his new toys before dinner and gymnastics.
He asked for a dog cake this year. I baked some in dog-shaped pans, and Paul decorated them. I think they turned out great!

It looks like a perfect day for Damon. I love the pictures of him opening presents, it's so fun when they are so expressive. He is such a great kid. Being around him makes me happy.
