Dance Show

Tessa had her dance performance on the 12th. Dancing is Tessa's happy place.

She loves it even more since Hallee is in her class with her.
The parents got to watch their class the week of their performance. I loved seeing all that Tessa has learned this year. At the end of the class their teacher had three at a time go out and free dance to whatever song she put on. Tessa was completely comfortable making up her own dance and didn't stop moving until the song was over. I love the confidence this class has provided for her. They encourage individuality and imagination while still learning technique.
It was so funny to watch Tessa while they were practicing their dance for the performance. She knows what everyone in the class should be doing at all times, and is not afraid to tell them if they are missing their turn. She was partnered with Daniel, the one boy in their class, a couple times throughout the song. This boy clearly doesn't want to be in dance and is rarely doing what he's supposed to be doing. Al caught the perfect picture of Tess getting after Daniel! It drives her crazy that he's her partner and he doesn't do what he's supposed to. So funny!
Tessa asks all the time to wear makeup so I let her wear some for the performance. She was so excited!

All the classes walked out together and watched each other dance from right in front of the stage.
Tessa did great and had so much fun dancing! We had a good chuckle at watching her boss everyone around if anyone missed their count. :) She's too cute!
It was sure nice of Mel and Grandma and Grandpa Ham to come watch Tess and Hallee dance.
