River's Edge Cabins

We had such a fun weekend at River's Edge Cabins. All three of our cabins were right next to each other, which was great. The kids shared a bedroom and Paul and I had a bedroom too. They thought it was fun to all sleep together.
We spent our time throwing rocks in the river, playing games, exploring, playing at the park, coloring  rocks, and riding bikes.

Paul made an awesome campfire both nights and we sat around that for hours and hours. The kids loved the s'mores and the adults loved visiting and laughing after the kids were all in bed.

Rockwell, Wyatt and Boston collected sticks, rocks, and leaves and then studied them and wrote down cool observations. They also made a bunch of "Breaking News" videos, and laughed their heads off watching them.
We went on a hike/walk along the stream on Sunday. That was a lot of fun.

The kids loved to stop and throw rocks in the water.
Damon was carrying a big stick on the way back, and poked Keith with it on accident. Keith teased him saying, "Hey, don't hit your uncle." Damon responded with, "You're not my uncle!!" Keith said that hurt worse than being poked. Ha! :) It didn't take long for Damon to say Keith was his uncle again and wanted him to play everything with him the rest of the weekend.
Caitlyn did a lesson for the kids Sunday afternoon about Jesus' creations. It was adorable.
Paul went home Sunday afternoon to meet with the bishop and stake president for his new calling. We put Damon and Kenzie down for naps, and Keith and Ben napped too. The big kids played together outside, and the moms sat in our camp chairs for a couple hours through sunshine and rain. It was fabulous!
We stopped at Windsor Park on the way home Monday and had lunch and played for a while longer.

Jonah and Kiara were racing each other, and then we all wanted in on the fun.

Jonah beat me. He's a fast little man!
There was one collision, and Al caught it on camera. Poor Kiara and Boston!

  1. How did I miss this post? I sat down to work on my lesson and thought, I better check Tiff's blog! I loved reliving that weekend and all of the cute pictures. Why do I look like I want to hurt someone in the picture around the campfire?
