Thanksgiving Break

It was nice to have a few days off school for Thanksgiving Break. We went to Vivian Park to see the frozen methane bubbles.

There weren't as many as in years past, so we'll try again later and see if there are more as the season goes on. We had a lot of fun sliding around on the frozen river though.

Our new dishwasher was delivered, and Paul got that installed. Man do I love having a working dishwasher again!!

We spent Thanksgiving day at Grandma and Gramps Clark's house. Dinner was absolutely delicious, and it was fun to play games after dinner.

On Friday, Grandma took Tessa to Cafe Rio for lunch and then shopping for her birthday. She was thrilled to spend that time with Grandma, and loved her two new stuffed dogs and hand sanitizers from Bath & Body Works. They found a dog lanyard with doggy bags inside it with a place to hold hand sanitizer. It was a perfect find! Tess was dog sitting Sadie that day, so she put it right to use that night! :)
Grandma stayed for dinner that night, and played a Jelly Belly game with us afterward. Rockwell wanted to play a guessing game to see if we could name the flavor of the Jelly Belly's we ate. It was really fun.

Damon and Rockwell helped Paul rake up all the leaves in our front yard...and there were a lot!!

Paul bought a lot of new Christmas decorations for his library, and we went over one day and helped him set some of them up. He hung a ton of candles from the ceiling, has Christmas trees, decorative pillows on the chairs, snowflakes on the windows, and more. It looks awesome!
The kids were happy to play checkers or read books while waiting for more to help with. :)

  1. I had no idea there were methane bubbles at Vivian Park and would like to see them sometime. That's so nice that Tessa got to stay at Grandma Clark's house and go shopping with her for her birthday and it looks like she got perfect gifts for her. I'm glad you had fun with her at your house and I'm so glad you have a working dishwasher now! That's cool that Paul got new decorations for the library and it looks great! It looks like a good place to study!
