San Diego

We decided to vacation in San Diego again this summer since we had so much fun there last year. The kids were excited to find their entertainment for the long drive.

We stopped at Grandpa Barth's in Hurricane for lunch. The kids loved his new house and the putting green in his backyard. It was nice to visit and stretch our legs for a bit.

We were all very excited to get to the house we rented that night.
It was a great house! Paul and I had a room with a walk-in closet, which is where Damon slept, and Rockwell and Tessa slept in the living room. The yard was really big for Old Town, we had a washer/dryer, and a driveway we could park in. We were straight across from the Old Town square, which was great to be able to go shop, see the sights, and get yummy food whenever we wanted to. The boys are standing in front of the house in both the pictures below. You can see the Old Town sign in the second.

We had a hot tub in the back yard. We would get in that most nights after we put Damon to bed. The kids loved it!
I loved the view from the hot tub. Pictures really don't do it justice, but it was beautiful.
We were right down the street from the Mormon Battalion Museum. The whole family went this year. It's a fun museum with a cool story of an army of Mormon pioneers who ended up helping to settle and build San Diego.
The kids love panning for gold at the end of the tour.

We all walked around Old Town one morning.

We loved our family vacation and the time we got to spend together.
