Kauai Day 3

I got up early Wednesday morning and ran over to see if Queen's Bath was open. This was the one thing I really wanted to see last trip, but the gate was locked both times we checked. It was open this time! It's a quick little 10 minute hike down to Queen's Bath and it's gorgeous the whole way!

While I was taking this picture of a waterfall, I noticed a lizard on a tree trunk. I thought the kids would like to see it so I turned the camera on it. As soon as I did, it stuck out it's neck like this and I slowly backed away. :) It felt like he was telling me to. Yikes!
I can see why they lock the gates to this hike when the tide is high. The rocks were very slippery and the waves were crashing pretty big even though it was low tide when I was there. The tally marks of drownings was sad to see!
I'm so glad I was able to see it safely though, because it was stunning everywhere!!
There was a family that had gotten to the bath before me and the mom was swimming in it. I would have felt weird getting in with them, so I just looked at it and left. Honestly the beauty of getting there was better than swimming in it anyway.
When I got back, I took the kids to the pool.
This pool felt colder to me, so I didn't stay in too long. There's a couple hot tubs at this pool and I enjoyed those more. :) Rockwell and Tessa had fun playing frisbee and Damon had fun playing with the little rocks and the fountains.
After lunch we went to Anini Beach. Damon was already tuckered out from the day. :)
After his cat nap in the car, he was ready to go snorkel and swim!
We saw a few fish here and there, but the snorkeling wasn't great. We all had a lot of fun on the log though!
Paul and the kids had a contest to see who could do the most bounces without falling off.
After dinner we went to check out Tunnels Beach to see if it was worth going to. It ended up being all of our favorite beach! It was absolutely beautiful!! Just breathtaking!!!
We walked the beach and watched the sun go down. I just couldn't get over how beautiful it was!
I love Tessa's photo bomb in this one. :)
Hey, if she wants to be in a picture, I'll put her in a picture. Ha! :)
It was a great end to a great day!!
