This & That

It was "dress like a celebrity" day at the high school, and Josh came dressed as Paul. :) So funny!

Matt came into town to spend a few days with our parents. My mom fell again while she was out on a walk and broke her collar bone. :( I hate that she has to deal with this physical pain as well as all she's going through with Alzheimers.
We had a family meeting with the counselor on her Alzheimers team at the University of Utah. It was a good meeting with some good ideas of how to best help Mom at this time.
She wanted a Frosty on the way home, and we all thought that was a great idea! :)

I was jealous that Rockwell had hiked to Upper Falls, so I did my workout up Provo Canyon after that. I've hardly been able to hike this year, and it makes me sad. It felt really good to get a small one in!

Sydney and Naomi are back at gym, so we've been carpooling with them. They were laughing so hard at the bangs they made with their hair on the way home one night.
They thought they looked just like old ladies. Haha!

Damon and I spent some time at Grandma & Grandpa's house one Saturday. Damon helped Grandpa empty and refill all their water bottles in their storage room. They ran a few errands together as well. Damon loved getting that time with Grandpa!!
Grandma and I cleaned out her closet, and then went for a walk and did a puzzle together. It was great to get some time with her.

Damon's playing volleyball again and loving it. We decided to have him play up a level and that's been good for him. He likes that there's a little more action in the games. :) His team is getting better and better each week and it's fun to watch!

Our Young Women class went to the temple with the Teacher's Quorum. It was really nice to be in the temple with all these awesome kids!

Rockwell and his friends like to ride their bikes to Harmon's and eat sushi. He came home with some treats for me this week. It was so sweet! I had surgery last week to remove a lump from my breast. I've been recovering and resting, and Rockwell was so thoughtful to bring me some of my favorite treats. I got the results of the biopsy this week and the lump is not cancerous!!!!!!!! It was seriously the best news ever!! There have been so many hard things to worry about the past couple years, and it sure feels good to have the lump gone (I named the lump Felicia, so I could say Bye Felicia!! Haha) and the worry of breast cancer behind me for good! Such a huge relief!!

  1. That is so sweet that Rockwell bought you treats. He is so thoughtful. I'm sure the kids are all so relieved that you are okay. I love it, Bye Felicia! I'm so sorry you had to go through all of that and I'm so grateful it's not cancer!
