Family Vacay Day #2

For our second Vacay Day, we went to Park City and did the Adventure Pass at the Mountain Village. It was such a fun day! We got there right when they opened and were able to do a few things before there were any lines. We started with riding the lift up the mountain and going down the Alpine Slide.

Rockwell was so excited that he could do the slide by himself. It really was so great, so we could all go together.

Damon rode with me and we had a blast. When we got to the bottom he was jumping up and down saying, "I loved that!!"

Then we took turns taking the kids on the Mountain Coaster. Rockwell was barely too short to drive that one on his own, so I took Tessa on it first while Paul took the boys to jump on the trampolines.

The Mountain Coaster was everyone's favorite thing!! You get into your car and it is pulled up the mountain on a track. You can see the track in the picture below. It's between the two sets of dense green trees. Once you reach the top, you zoom down the track that goes all around and through the dense green trees. You go so fast, and it's an absolute blast!

When Tessa and I were finished, Paul took turns taking both the boys on it.

We found out that we could all wait in line together, and when we got to the front, Rockwell could wait there for us, and as soon as we were back one of us could take Rockwell without waiting in line again. We rode it a few more times throughout the day and all had a turn to ride together. It was seriously so much fun!

The kids all liked the trampolines.

Tessa and Rockwell both figured out how to do front and back flips.

Once Tess had the flips down, the guy that was helping her told her to do a second back flip right after her first. She did it, and then he kept saying "again" right when she would land each one. She did 9 flips in a row, three different times. There was a lady watching and she started clapping and cheering for Tess. She loved that!

There was also a children's ropes course. Rockwell and Tessa thought that was really fun.

Damon tried it and did great on the first obstacle. He got really nervous on the second one though. He started crying and asked to get down.

They could also do a kids' zip line, and Rockwell and Tessa did that a couple times. Damon was not interested after the ropes course though!

There was a fun miniature golf course.

Rockwell was the only one who weighed enough to do the rock climbing wall. He enjoyed doing that.

They each got to do Gem Panning one time. They were so excited that they got to keep all their gems!

We also got to do the Flying Eagle Zip Line.

We all had such a good time here, and loved spending the day together as a family!

Life Lately

Al and I took our kids on a little hike up Big Springs Park.

They loved using the slingshots they bought in Mexico.

They also loved exploring, throwing rocks, and being with their cousins.

We hiked until we were too hot and then we had some lunch and headed back down.

While Paul was in Philadelphia, I took the kids to see Aladdin. Tessa closed her eyes for a few minutes at the end, but besides that scary part, she loved it.

I also took the kids for a ride in Paul's truck while he was gone. We went over to a parking lot and spent the morning riding bikes and playing soccer and hide and go seek.

We celebrated the July birthdays at my parents' house.

I had fun playing card games and talking with my nieces.

The boys were playing basketball and one team was tucked shirts, and the other was untucked shirts. Rockwell has his shirts tucked in most the time these days, so I thought that was funny when they split their teams up that way. :)

Paul and Rockwell went to the Utah Jazz Summer Games. They had a great time!

Al was so sweet and texted me one morning and asked if she could have my kids for the day. The kids were so excited! I dropped them off and then came home and planned my relief society lesson. It was so helpful to have that uninterrupted time! After they had played for a while, they got to watch a movie with snacks. They were there for about 5 hours, and still weren't ready to come home when I picked them up.

We met Mel and Al for some bowling last week.
The employees put the names in for us, and we thought it was pretty funny when Damon's name showed up as David. We called him Dave Jr, and asked him in Luna's accent if he likes it when we call him by his name. Right, Mr. Dave Jr? :)

Caitlyn and Amarie fed the kids lunch and babysat them while Al, Mel and I went to Cafe Rio for lunch. Donny Osmond was there too, and we're all regretting not asking him to take a picture with us. :)

Tessa got to go swimming with Hallee on her birthday. She was so excited!

They went to McDonald's for lunch and then the Provo Rec Center for swimming.

Wyatt came and played at our house while the girls were swimming. He and Rockwell had a great time playing Rush Hour, Suspend, and soccer.
