Kauai Day 3

We checked out of Plantation Hale on Friday and drove to the north side of the island to stay at the Wyndham Bali Hai Villas in Princeville. Before we left, we went back over to Coconut Market and the kids bought some souvenirs. I loved how beautiful our lanai was at Plantation Hale, and all the pretty flowers surrounding our room.

Then we drove to Wailua Falls, which was beautiful!
Rockwell was not happy that it was a sightseeing day instead of a beach day, and it shows in this picture. :)
We asked him to please smile for the picture and this is the best we got. Ha!
Next, we headed to Kilauea Point.
Kilauea Point is a national wildlife refuge, with a lighthouse on the grounds. We stopped here to see this view, and then drove the rest of the way up to the parking lot. The kids loved looking for all the kinds of birds listed in the brochure.
The waves were enormous crashing against the coast. I could have watched and listened to the waves crashing all day. It was beautiful and fascinating, and that sound is one of my favorites.
There were binoculars all around the refuge and beautiful views any direction you looked.

The Bali Hai Villas were super nice. We had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room and a full kitchen.

After we got settled in, we went over to the Princeville General Store/Gas Station for dinner. We read that they have amazing pizza there, so we tried it out. I wouldn't say it was amazing, but it filled us up. :)

We stopped in the clubhouse when we got back to the resort to get some passionfruit juice. This was definitely amazing! We would check every time we passed the clubhouse to see if they had it out. It was so yummy!

  1. Your place in Princeville sure looked nice and pretty and sounds comfortable. I loved the picture of Rockwell showing his unhappiness and the next one too! So funny! You found some wonderful places to see! The passionfruit juice is wonderful, isn't it?
