Rockwell rushed from Alpine Days on Monday to his final band concert that night. He was really excited to tune and warm up the band again, and he did a great job! We could tell he felt less nervous this time.
He earned his silver medal for completing and passing all of his chunks this year. And yes, we still laugh every time we talk about his chunks. :)
Wednesday night was the freshman volleyball tournament. They had some wins and some losses throughout the season, and ended up in the silver bracket for the tournament. They sure played well that night!! They won their first round against the Mountain View B team. Their next round was against Mountain View A team and it went to 3 matches. It was a close one, but Mountain View pulled out the win. Mountain View won the silver bracket in the following round, and so Timpanogos B team took 3rd in the tournament.
Rockwell played really well that night, and so I hope he's proud of himself even though I know they were all disappointed to take 3rd.
He sure loved his team and his coaches. They were a great group of boys, and we appreciated the positive approach the coaches took to teaching and training the kids. It was sad to see the season end.
This is what the boys would do any time their serve wasn't returned. They would jump into a circle and say, "Suuuuuu!" It was a fun tradition that made us all smile every time. :)
