This & That

Tessa made a Fantastic Race Treasure Hunt for Damon the day after we got home from the cruise. :) He followed her clues around until he found a treasure box with gems in it.

Rockwell is dancing in our friend Jade's Quinceanera. They asked him if he would be willing and he said he was happy to. Paul and I were shocked! He has always hated dancing before, but I guess things change as you become a teenager. :) I think he's realized it can actually be fun at FSY and the stake dances he's been going to lately. She asked all of her friends from school to make up the 14 couples, but she needed a couple more boys. Rockwell goes to a different school and so he didn't know anyone, but they are the nicest kids and Rockwell fit right in with them the first practice.

Rockwell asked Paul to teach him how to shave. He's loved having a mustache grow in, but it's long enough now he decided he wants to shave. It looks really good clean-shaven.

On July 7th Rockwell and I rode our bikes up to Drew's grave. It's hard to believe he's been gone a whole year. Rockwell loves that his spoon from track practice is still there in the grass next to his headstone. I think it's been a while since Rockwell's had a good cry for Drew, so it was nice that nobody was around when we were there and he could have some time to let it out.

Junko and Kai gave Paul another gift card to Top Golf, so we went there one morning.
Paul smoked us all when it came to hitting the ball.
But some of the games there don't necessarily reward you for hitting it the furthest. Rockwell won the first game and he was so excited and wanted a picture with the scoreboard. :)
It was a really fun morning!

Lindsay took Damon, Tristan, and Lex kayaking in Pleasant Grove. Damon loved going with them. It's been so fun having the Rosequist's live across from us. Damon and Tristan are back and forth between our houses all day and we love it!

I also love the times when all three kids are home and hang out together. That's my favorite!

We went and got free Slurpee's on 7/11.

The Hawkins Reunion was in Utah again this year. Paul, Tessa and I went to dinner at Mark and Lindsey's house. Tasha had prepared some fun games for the Hawkins siblings and their spouses to play. It was fun to see everyone and get caught up with the extended family.
Wendy couldn't get over how much Lindy and I look alike. She said she felt like she was talking to 20-year-old me when she talked to Lindy. :)
Tessa had a great time playing with Hallee in their play room.
I went to Brick Oven the next day with a lot of the family.
Tessa stayed at Hallee's and played while we were gone, and the rest of the day. :) They had so much fun with Lindy too!
