We went over to the game rooms Thursday morning. Damon is remarkably good at table shuffleboard!! He creamed every one of us in every game. We all kept trying to beat him, but no luck.
We drove to the Coconut Market in Kapa'a for their farmer's market. We got some mangos, ice cream bananas, and an egg fruit. We had never heard of egg fruit so wanted to see what it tastes like. That is also a fruit we will never want to eat again. Haha. It was so dry and tasted a little like pumpkin pie. It was gross.
We got some Wailua Shave Ice.
And then we went to Brennecke's Beach.
The kids wanted big waves for boogie boarding. Brennecke's is a small, crescent shape beach with rocks lining the far edges. There's a small area you want to be in so that you come ashore on the sandy part. But it does have really good boogie boarding waves! It's really crowded in the water because so many people want to boogie board there, but that didn't seem to bother the kids. They all had a blast!
We walked over to Poipu Beach when they were finished boogie boarding. Some cute girls came over and told us they were doing henna to raise money for their club volleyball fees. Tessa had been hoping to get henna while we were there, and I absolutely love when kids work for what they want, so it was an easy yes for me. Paul stayed with our stuff and the kids and I went over to their table. They had a folder of designs they could do. Rockwell and Damon chose a hammerhead shark and Tessa wanted a design on her hand. One of the girls said she could draw anything as long as she had a picture, so I found a picture of a hummingbird and she drew that. They did a great job!
Rockwell didn't mind sitting and chatting with this girl while she drew on his bicep. :) She was super cute!
We drove over to The Cabana Grill for dinner.
We went back to Poipu to watch the sun set and the turtles come in to shore. It was a fun day!
