XC Camp

Rockwell was so excited for Cross Country Camp. This is one of his very favorite weeks of the year. They needed another driver, so Jody asked Paul if he could come. Luckily it worked out with Paul's real estate work, and he was able to go help out.

They do a lot of running up there. :)

They also have a lot of fun. They tube the river every year.
On one of the runs, the boys and girls run a different route, but their routes meet up at one point. The boys always get to the road first, and it's tradition that they leave a note on the road for the girls.
This year's camp theme was a patriotic one since it's America's 250th birthday. The boys wrote "U R red, white, and cute"
They also spend an afternoon at the pool every year. They have all these traditions that they do at the pool: a high pitch scream contest down the slide for the boys and a low pitch scream contest for the girls, they do some sort of washing machine something, and a few others that I don't remember. :)
These are all the Juniors this year.
Jody has a points system that's happening all week, and on the last day he announces the Camp King and Camp Queen (the boy and girl who earned the most points). Then the girls announce their own Camp King (the boy they all crush on). Rockwell was the girl's Camp King this year. He loved that!!
I'm so glad Rockwell has all these friends on the team. They're good, respectful kids. He loved being the older kid at camp this year and continuing on the traditions he has enjoyed the past few years.
