Anniversary Celebration

Paul and I were able to celebrate our anniversary on Saturday. My mom came and watched the kids and told us not to worry about a thing and stay out as long as we wanted. Thanks Mom! We went to Provo Canyon and did the zip line tour. It was beautiful up there!
There were 5 zip lines. The last one was 1500 feet long. It was so fun to zip right through all the beautiful fall colors and have amazing views of the Provo River.
It does my heart and soul good to be in the mountains. I absolutely love Utah mountains!
It was so fun to spend the day with Paul. He is incredibly busy literally all the time. He is very good at making as much time as he can for our family, but sometimes I just miss him. It was great to have each other's undivided attention and do something that we both love doing. We also went to dinner at Shoots. Chalk the Block was going on at the Riverwoods so we walked through that and saw all the art after dinner. Thanks for a fabulous date Paul!

Gymnastics

I've been wondering if Rockwell would like gymnastics for a while now. Lindon City is offering a small beginner gymnastics class for 5 year olds, so we decided to try it. He had his first class on Friday. He loved it! I'm so proud of Rockwell for how willing he is to try new things now.

Timpanogos Homecoming Carnival

We got to go to the Homecoming Carnival at THS on Friday. We have a great time here every year. There's a ton of carnival games for the kids.
The kids love collecting candy at every game.
Tessa made multiple trips into the petting zoo. She loves animals and is fearless around them.
Rockwell was determined to win a fish. He played the fishing game a few times and finally won one. He named her Ruby. Matt and Lori's dog is named Ruby. I'm pretty sure that's the only 'pet' name he knows. :) He's taking very good care of Ruby and asks me to check on her and come tell him if she's okay while he's in bed. Tessa calls her Ruvy The Fish every time she talks to her or about her. :)

Haircut #2

Damon needed another haircut already, so Paul cut it on Saturday. Damon fell asleep about 1 minute into the haircut and slept through the rest of it. He's amazing!
He sure looks old now!

Crazy Rain

We had quite the rainstorms today. There was a break for a couple hours, so I thought we were safe to go to a couple stores. While we were in Old Navy the rain started again with a fury. Rockwell has wanted to buy a bouncy ball from Old Navy for quite a while now. He took a quarter for himself and one for Tessa because he wanted to buy one for her too, but he forgot his wallet in the car. I told him we could run back in after we shopped and buy them real quick. I totally forgot about it while we were running through ankle-deep puddles and pelting rain, but as soon as we got in the car Rockwell saw his wallet and remembered I had said we could go back in. I so very much didn't want to go back  through that rain with 3 kids, but I hate to not follow through with what I tell people. So we ran back to the store. Tessa was not happy about how soaked she was getting and started to cry. As we were running I was yelling, "This is fun Tess! It's an adventure!" She didn't buy it. :)
After all that running in the rain I decided not to go to any more stores and head home instead. The kids did some more puddle jumping, in more appropriate clothes.
Paul supervised a soccer game tonight. There was a ton of thunder and some lightning while I was getting the kids ready for bed. When it was time to say prayers, Rockwell asked me to pray that Dad would be kept very safe during the storm. He is such a thoughtful boy. I love that he knows he can pray to Heavenly Father for things he's worried about.

Wyatt & Hallee

Rockwell and Tessa ask me every single day if they can play with Wyatt and Hallee. It's hard to get the boys together much now that Rockwell has started Kindergarten. Al brought them down yesterday after Wyatt got out of preschool since Keith was able to pick Caitlyn and Jonah up from school and Paul was at class late that night. My kids were SO excited to get to play with Wyatt and Hallee for a long time and have them stay for dinner.
Rockwell and Wyatt thought it was so funny to yell "Hey dude!" through the fence at our neighbor mowing his lawn. When he would smile at them they would run away laughing hysterically.
Al brought a green salad for dinner and Rockwell absolutely loved it. He asked her if she would leave it at our house. When Paul got home and went in Rockwell's room to say goodnight, he told Paul all about the salad. And today he had 4 helpings of it for lunch. Thanks for the amazing salad Al! :)

Labor Day

We had a fun Labor Day spending time together as a family. We made a pit stop at Al's house on our way up to West Haven.
We had dinner at Grandma and Gramps' house before heading over to Tomato Days in Hooper.
We got to watch McKay, Kyler and Hayden do calf riding in the rodeo. It was so cute to see them ride! I didn't get any great pictures, but Kyler is in the first one and the last two are McKay.
My kids saw a park on the way in, so after the cousins rode they were much more interested in playing than watching the rest of the rodeo. I took them over to the park and Paul got to stay and watch some of the rodeo. It was nice to have a day off work and see our family.
