Birthday Party

Wyatt and Hallee did a swimming party in their backyard for their birthdays this year. My kids were so excited to go!
They had a pool, slip-n-slide and water balloons. All the kids loved getting Keith with the balloons.
Ready, Aim, Fire!
Wyatt and Rockwell were riding in their new jeep and drove right into a wasp nest that was under the trampoline. Wyatt got stung on his ear and Rockwell got stung twice on his eye. They went from laughing their heads off to screaming their heads off in a matter of seconds. They wanted to be inside after that, so we headed in for dessert, presents and a piñata. While I was getting Rockwell some ice for his eye, Damon got hurt and started crying too. Above all the crying Tessa said, "This party isn't going so well!" Oh Tess! Grandma took great care of Damon and got him feeling better.
The kids loved getting their own donuts and blowing out candles.
Rockwell and Tessa each chose a present they thought Wyatt and Hallee would love.
Al said, "Boys, show me your guns." Ha! :)
Everyone loved the piñata. Rockwell and Caitlyn's faces crack me up!
When they were gathering all the prizes from the piñata Tessa said, "This party is the best of my life!"   :) It was a great party celebrating my kids' BCFs. (Best Cousins Forever)

Hallee invited us to go bowling with her family and Mel's family on the actual day of her birthday. That was so much fun.

4th of July

The 4th of July was a great day! Paul and I worked in our yard in the morning and then headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Ham's for a bbq, games, and fireworks. We took Spikeball over and had fun learning how to play.
Al and I were a team at one point, and I thought we had a nice time, but then Paul showed us this picture...
Haha! I think she wished Mel was her teammate instead. :) We had a good laugh about that one!
My mom had water balloon volleyball ready for the kids to play and they had fun with that.
The boys always love to play basketball.
We celebrated July birthdays too. Elijah was so sweet to let the little girls pop all his balloons filled with cash.
It was a fun night spent with family.
The kids loved the fireworks. EJ and Elijah serenaded us with patriotic songs the whole time. :)
Paul and I tried to do the "Al Glare." Ha!

Swimming at Katie's

Katie and Ben bought a beautiful house last month in Riverton. There are so many great things about the house, and one of them is the pool in the backyard.

We've gone over a couple times with Al and Audrey and their kids. It is so much fun! The set up is really great with large stairs the babies can play on, a diving board that the kids just love, tons of fun pool toys, and a shaded patio right next to the pool. Katie is the best host ever. We are well taken care of at her house!

We have stayed for hours every time we've gone, and we are still never ready to leave.

Rockwell and Tessa have improved their swimming abilities a ton this summer. They can make their way all around the pool. It's so nice! They both love to jump off the diving board.

I've had fun on the diving board too!

Life Lately

My dad and brothers did a hiking trip in Bryce Canyon a couple weeks ago. They came back on Saturday evening and so we went up there to spend some time with them that night.
I love when all the siblings can be together. It's always a little hard without Jen. But it was really great to see my brothers.
Rockwell and EJ did a standing long jump competition. Jonah said whoever won should get a dollar. Apparently Rockwell won, so EJ gave him a dollar. Rock was thrilled! Elijah said he would measure how far Rock had jumped. He's 6 foot, so he laid down to see if he had jumped longer than that. He did. :)
Paul took the kids home and put them to bed, while I stayed to visit more. We watched the Taylorsville Days firework show from the back porch. I put some patriotic music on and we all sang along as we watched. Not sure when we became a family that sings together, but it was a lot of fun. :)
Rockwell was helping Damon get off the trampoline that night and fell over backward, landing on Damon's foot. We weren't sure if it had broken or just sprained, but it was definitely hurting him to walk on it. Paul took him to Instacare the next morning, and luckily it was just a bad sprain. He crawled or had us carry him for a day, and then limped for a couple days, and then it was all better.
He was a champ getting x-rays and letting the dr look at his foot. He was thrilled to get a bouncy ball when it was all over.

I took a few pictures last Sunday since we were ready for church early. I sure love these kids!

We played at Al's house one day last week. The kids loved riding in Wyatt and Hallee's new car! And Damon loved taking Jackson for a walk around the block.

Damon switched to a big boy bed and has done great staying in bed all night. He looks so darn cute in his little bed!
